Christopher House is a family of schools located in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1906 as one of the original settlement homes in Chicago, Christopher House has spent the last 115 years providing services that uplift low-income children and families and increase their ability to thrive. Christopher House has three infant and preschool locations in the Uptown, Logan Square and Belmont Cragin neighborhoods. Each of these locations provides access to year-round early childhood education, as well as family support services, including a family advocate that is assigned to each family, food pantry and access to mental health support through our Parent School. Our Belmont Cragin location is also home to our elementary and middle schools, which showcase our continuum of education model. Children as young as six weeks begin in our infant and preschool and receive full-day, wraparound services and supports through eighth grade. Our model of support is provided through braided funding from Early Head Start, Head Start, City of Chicago, Child Care and private philanthropy, which are all utilized to ensure maximum impact.
