About Vishakha Deshpande
Vishakha Deshpande holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and is specialized in early childhood care and education. She has been in the field of ECE for 33 years as an educator, researcher, master trainer, curriculum designer, and mentor to teachers and parents. All these years she has been instrumental in supporting and empowering the rural and urban ECE sector in teacher training programs and curriculum and content development. She has trained more than 5,000 teachers in six states of India and the United States. She is regularly invited to national and international conferences to share her expertise. Deshpande is closely associated with the World Forum Foundation for the last 22 years and serves as the ambassador of India and curriculum working group leader. She is the national representative and state secretary of Maharashtra Balshikshan Parishad and works hand in hand with Grammangal, an NGO started by veteran Educationist Anutai Wagh. She has served as a resource person for Oxford University Press Pan India for the last 5 years. At present she works privately as an academic consultant and is associated with KES’s The New Age School Pune.
