The USDA sponsored a People’s Garden within an early childhood program at Cornell University. Program Director, Patricia Sinclair describes the idea presented by a parent; “There’s this new initiative by Michelle Obama, called the People’s Garden. Wouldn’t it be neat if we started to make this more of a community opportunity — not just teachers directing activities with children, but all of the families coming together to support a garden.”
