Toilet learning (or potty training) is an important developmental process that will unfold uniquely for each child. It’s helpful when teachers and families communicate well and share expectations and patterns. Accidents should be considered an acceptable part of the journey and not a bad thing. Keeping the process light and respectful will support children. Hand-washing procedures should be followed carefully by all during toilet training routines, for group safety.
