Informal assessment is an ongoing process, woven into daily interactions with children. Finding even 10 minutes each day, at the beginning of the day or during rest time, to record observations, will give a snapshot over time of where children are developmentally. In a community of practice teachers can compare thoughts and ideas around assessment and how to enrich and challenge children, individually and as a group.
