Early childhood educators are showing their extraordinary adaptability, resilience, strength and caring, as they serve children and families during the global COVID-19 pandemic – designing and communicating new policies and procedures with families for health and safety, and engaging with children in new and creative ways, while keeping their routines as steady and playful as possible. Increased outdoor learning offers inspiration and practicality, and requires more adaptation. Through the challenges, teachers model profound creativity and flexibility, working with children and families to adapt and thrive together.
