About Angie Doucette

Angie Doucette is the coordinator and education manager for Brevard Public Schools Head Start in the heart of Florida’s Space Coast. She has over 25 years of experience wearing many hats in education including national board certified teacher, reading expert, mentor, resource teacher, Florida Reading First PD trainer, school district PD trainer, Head Start PD trainer and administrator.  She serves on the Region IV Head Start Association Board and is secretary of the Florida Head Start Association Board. Doucette is also an author with articles published in the NAEYC publication “Teaching Young Children,” “Education Week” and in community publications. She has written about the importance of supporting oral health initiatives focused on young, at-risk children. She has also authored articles exploring the topic of family engagement and the importance of creativity in early learning. Doucette continues to develop and present a wide variety of PD experiences in her role as coordinator and board member.
