About Cory Gann (Edit profile)

Cory Gann is a professor emeritus at Central Washington University in the field of early childhood education. He has been a classroom teacher at the preschool, kindergarten, and elementary levels. His book, "Key Words: Reclaiming Children's Precious Vocabulary," was published in 2018. It is a treatise on ECE literacy and its themes are intertwined with a commitment to critical pedagogy and anti-racist teaching. He is a member of the board of directors of Praxis/Friends of Ash Prep, which is dedicated to supporting anti-racist schooling with a focus on the genius of Black children.
