About Dave Gesler (Edit profile)

Dave Gesler, Ph.D., earned his undergraduate degree in rhetoric and communication from the University of California at Davis. He then earned his master's degree in organizational communication from Murray State University, and his doctorate in communication studies, with a secondary emphasis in statistics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Since 2003, Gesler has been a professor at Murray State University in the department of organizational communication. In addition to being an associate professor, Gesler is also Murray State University's faculty athletic representative to the NCAA. His research interests include positive communication, communication and ethics, organizational communication, research and statistical methods, communication and leadership, and communication competence.
