Dawn Hendricks, Ed.D., is chair of the early childhood education and family studies program at Clackamas Community College. She has more than 25 years of experience working in a variety of positions including education specialist, early reading first director, and director of early childhood services in a statewide Head Start program serving nearly 3,000 infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Hendricks recently led development of a two-year associate’s degree in early childhood education and family studies, completely available in Spanish and all online. She focuses on providing culturally and linguistically responsive teacher education to meet the diverse needs of today’s early childhood workforce.
