D'Lee Babb, Ph.D., serves as an associate professor of early childhood education and child studies at Western Kentucky University in the department of applied human sciences, where she teaches courses such as child development, infants and toddler development and curriculum, and the role of play in child development. In the past, Babb has taught in preschool, toddler and infant classrooms, led teacher trainings, and worked with early interventions. She earned her doctorate in human sciences from Oklahoma State University. Her current research interests are third culture children in public preschools, developmentally appropriate practices in public preschools, and teacher education. She is involved with the NAEYC higher education accreditation system and is the vice president of collaborations for ACCESS.
