Donna R. Sanderson, Ed.D., is a professor in the department of early and middle grades education at West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania, where she has been teaching early grades courses for 21 years. She earned her doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania in reading, writing, and literacy. Her research interests focus on teacher education and early childhood teaching practices, specifically in using hands-on manipulatives as appropriate learning sources.
