About Donna Y. Ford

Donna Y. Ford, Ph.D., is a distinguished professor in the Department of Educational Studies at Ohio State University. Her scholarship focuses on equity in education, urban education, multicultural education, closing achievement gaps, desegregating gifted education and programs for advanced students, and preparing teachers and other professionals to be culturally competent. She consults and presents nationally in schools and organizations on these topics, with particular attention to Black and Hispanic students, families, and communities. Ford has authored numerous books, articles and chapters, and received dozens of awards for her work.
