About Glynnis Nakai (Edit profile)

Glynnis Nakai is the refuge manager for the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge Complex in Olympia, Washington. During her 30 years with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, she has worked on more than seven refuges ranging from remote islands in Hawaii to birding destinations in Massachusetts, all with diverse habitats, wildlife and visitor opportunities. This lifetime of service to protect natural resources to benefit species and people supports her bachelor of science degree in zoology and environmental science from University of Hawaii, and master of science in wildlife biology and management from University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
