About Heather Smoyer (Edit profile)

Heather Smoyer is the center director of State College KinderCare and a strong advocate for the early childhood education field. Smoyer graduated in 2002 from Georgia State University with a master's in human resource development. After working in the HR field for many years, she found her calling as a child care director. She has served on an accreditation team for AdvancED, was a Bright From the Start trainer, and has trained future directors and franchise owners in the industry. Smoyer is a member of the Pennsylvania Child Care Association and participates as an advocate with the Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children. She is passionate about servant leadership, retention, and family experience.
