Roberto Ortega and Candelaria (Candy) Ortega are the director and CEO of KLA schools. Candy started her career as a teacher at a Reggio Emilia-inspired school in Miami. They founded KLA Academy and KLA Schools in 2008 and it has grown to almost 30 schools nationwide. KLA schools are committed to being a model of learning by design, by investing heavily in professional development and bringing in like-minded researchers across all fields.
