An Encouraging Way to Start the New Year
Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit.

In one of the daily writings in Encouragement Every Day, Nancy Rosenow describes how the book is meant to be helpful:
“Each entry in this book represents a new day – a chance to begin again. Nothing that has happened to us in the past need control our future. Life is a continual cycle of ups and downs, but if we cooperate with the natural flow, we will be ok. I often remind myself of one of Abraham Lincoln’s favorite phrases, ‘This too shall pass.’
“We have an opportunity to learn something from each day, but we need not take the heartaches and difficulties with us in order to keep the lesson. As we allow the full range of our emotions to be with us in all situations, we give our feelings permission to be present, to be heard, to teach us what we need to learn, and then flow through us.”
