Coffee, Core Values, and Organizational Culture
Good communication is just as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after.
– Anne Morrow Lindbergh, American writer and aviator
Today’s message is shared by Dimensions Foundation Marketing Director, Kara Ficke.
I am an avid coffee drinker and wanted to provide something I love with the early education professionals I have the privilege to work alongside, every day. So, each day I brew a pot of freshly roasted coffee so that it is ready to go for staff as they arrive at the office. It’s not in my job description, just something small that adds to our positive organizational culture of nurturing the health and well-being of one another.
At Dimensions Educational Research Foundation our mission is to inspire joy and wonder in children, educators, and communities with a heart-centered approach to early education. Our core values define who we are, nurture our individual strengths, and create a “blueprint” for how we approach our work:
Excellence: We strive for the highest quality in all that we do.
Integrity: We hold ourselves accountable to the highest ethical standards.
Innovation: We create cutting-edge approaches to teaching and learning.
Collaboration: We use an interdisciplinary team approach that provides perspectives through partnerships.
Discovery Learning: We promote a lifelong process of discovering the world from new perspectives.
Research-Based Framework: The foundation of our work is the use of a rigorous research methodology based on close observation of children and teachers over time.
Inclusiveness: We embrace the plurality and diversity of our world.
International Outreach: We are committed to sharing our knowledge and resources with the world.
Sustainability: We nurture the health and well-being of our organization as we work toward the health and well-being of our world.
