Courageous Leadership in Turbulent Times
You must never be fearful of what you are doing when it is right.
– Rosa Parks
The Exchange Essentials article collection, “Courageous Leadership,” was created a couple of years ago, but is perhaps even more relevant today.
With titles such as Learn From Everything (And Other Strategies for Courageous Leadership) by Rachel Robertson; Guiding Change: Let’s Talk! by Valora Washington and Brenda Gadson; Heart-Centered Leadership by Nancy Rosenow; Navigating Compassion Fatigue with Compassion by Shoshanah Findling and Transformational Leadership in Turbulent Times by Constant Hine and Robin Levy, the articles in this collection have been written by people who know what it’s like to face daunting challenges and come out stronger for it.
There’s no doubt early childhood leaders world-wide are facing challenges in their work today that often are the result of new political realities. On Wednesday, May 21 at 11 am Eastern US time, WoFo Global Café will discuss this topic: “The Rise of the Populist Right and Its Impact on Children and Marginalized Communities.”
Conversation will be led by Joe Waters, founder of Capita – an independent think tank working with global partners to craft effective policies for a future in which families and their communities can flourish – and, May Ajram, World Forum Global Leader and board member of the World Forum Foundation. Everyone is invited to register and join the conversation May 21.
