Join in an Engaging Exchange
Facts bring us to knowledge, but stories lead to wisdom.
– Rachel Naomi Remen
You are invited to join us on September 25 from 1-2:30 PM Eastern Time for an inspiring Engaging Exchange conversation with some of the authors from the Fall issue of Exchange. Valora Washington, Ruth Wilson, Bonnie Neugebauer and Carol Hillman will discuss their articles, the stories behind the writing of them, and invite your thoughts and questions. We are looking forward to a wonderful time together.
The Fall issue of Exchange explores multiple ways storytelling can inform, inspire, and spark advocacy. Another Exchange resource that illustrates the power of storytelling is the book Stories of Resistance. Author Alissa Mwenelupembe offers readers the chance to learn from twelve black women in early care and education as they tell their stories of overcoming obstacles and finding courage, authenticity and vision. She explains, “It is my hope that this collection might inspire you to become curious about the stories of the people around you. I hope that you don’t just start to wonder about each other, but begin a dialogue through which you find out things you never imagined.”
