Sharing Your “Glimmers”

While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.
– Angela Schwindt

In a recent ExchangeEveryDay we shared about “Glimmers” and invited you to share what yours are.

Here are some of your responses:

“Seeing joy in the faces of children as they discover something new or unfamiliar.”

“Every day, while commuting from home to work, I drive by a section of farm land. It is my favorite scenery because of the way it looks, but most importantly because of the way it makes me feel. The open fields in between hills show off the beauty of nature and it gives me a sense of joy and relaxation. I hold on to the happy feeling for as long as I can take taking deep breaths as I smile and think of how blessed I am to be able alive.”

“We moved a few counties upstate from NYC a few years ago. Nearly every time I go anywhere, the natural beauty makes one of those glimmers. If I drive a mile, I’m likely to say, Oh… look at that! at least 3 times. Looking at natural beauty takes the edge off so many things….”

“Enjoying a view of snow-capped Pikes Peak everyday on my drive to work.”

“I LOVE this concept of glimmers! It is the way I try to live everyday! Examples are marveling at the wind chasing itself through the grass or a hearing a pine tree sigh in the wind.”
