Anxiety affects children of all ages. As a caregiver, it can feel overwhelming to know what to do and how to respond. Anxiety can be at the root of work avoidance, big emotions, sensitivity, limited social skills, withdrawn or internalizing behaviors, specific phobias, and perfectionism. It can affect sleep, independence, separation, eating and transitions. Sometimes it presents itself in big ways and sometimes small. If a child you care for struggles with anxiety, you are not alone! Learn signs, myths, and helpful strategies to teach coping skills for overcoming anxiety in home and at school. Julietta Skoog, Sproutable Co- Founder, brings over 20 years of experience as a school psychologist, school counselor, Positive Discipline trainer and parent of three to this experiential, insightful workshop. You will leave with tangible tools to use right away with the child in your life, and a renewed sense of hope for how YOU can help.
This hybrid training event will be held both in-person (at our Hilltop-Fremont location in Seattle) and via Zoom. Please let us know via your registration form how you plan to attend!
This workshop is also worth 2 STARS training hours for WA State Early Learning Professionals who attend in-person ONLY. Please have your STARS ID with you. If you work for a city DEEL-sponsored program (such as Seattle Preschool Program), your registration is free.
