In this current era of heightened political conflict and sweeping governmental changes that are impacting our children, families, and organizations in profound ways, many of us in educational settings are wrestling with the question: What are we willing to stand behind? What actions will we take to protect and uplift the communities we serve? What CAN we do and say within the legal guardrails of our workplace/organization? In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll break down the root of the assumed need to be “apolitical” in nonprofit and educational spaces. From legislation to language, we’ll be showing what’s at the heart of many common practices in nonprofit and educational institutions and their unintended consequences.
This presentation is geared towards administrators and nonprofit leaders who want to support marginalized employees, children, and families.
This workshop will be RECORDED and worth 2 hours of STARS training credit for all WA State early learning professionals who attend the live presentation.
