About Nadia Jaboneta

Nadia Jaboneta is a program coordinator and classroom teacher at Pacific Primary preschool in San Francisco, California. She has 20 years of experience in the Early Childhood Education field teaching young children, training teachers, consulting, and facilitating workshops on reflective practice, social justice, project work, sensory integration, and schema theory. Nadia is proud to have immigrant parents from Lima, Peru. It is because of their hard work, resilience, and support that she is who she is today. Nadia is one of the first people in her family to graduate from college here in the United States. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from San Francisco State University where she concentrated on teacher research and the importance of capturing children’s voices, as well as to reflect on her own practice. She is the co-author of Children’s Lively Minds: Schema Theory Made Visible with Deb Curtis (St. Paul: Redleaf Press, 2019) as well as several articles in NAEYC’s Teaching Young Children magazine.
