About Pamela Evanshen

Pamela Evanshen, Ed.D., is a professor and co-coordinator of the early childhood Ph.D. program and department chair in the department of early childhood education at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. Her research interests include learning environments, multiage education, and constructivist versus traditional teaching methods in elementary classrooms. Evanshen has authored three books, multiple articles and book chapters, and has presented at conferences nationally and internationally. She is also president of the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators.
