Enjoy a Conversation With Four Engaging Leaders in Our Field
Stories make us more alive, more human, more courageous, more loving.
– Madeleine L’Engle
Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy an Engaging Exchange conversation with authors from the Fall Exchange issue, ECE leaders Valora Washington, Ruth Wilson, Bonnie Neugebauer and Carol Hillman.
Valora Washington will be shedding light on a year-long project to assess the current state of early care and education. A quote from her article: “As we navigate the way forward, we have a unique opportunity to uplift each other, reinforce our shared values in educating and caring for children, resist forces that seek to diminish our progress, and unite our fragmented field.”
Ruth Wilson will talk about the motivation that led her to write her article, “What We Clap For.” A quote from the article: “Celebrating the wonders of nature as experienced in the places where children live, learn and play will be more meaningful and joyful for the children than limiting celebrations to historical events or human accomplishments far removed from the children’s daily lives.”
Bonnie Neugebauer and Carol Hillman will discuss their exciting new project, The Early Childhood Wisdom Initiative. A quote from their article: “We’ve come to believe in the power of our stories to connect with younger generations. As Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D. shares in her book, Kitchen Table Wisdom: Stories that Heal, ‘Everybody is a story…telling stories is not just a way of passing time. It is the way the wisdom gets passed along. The stuff that helps us live a life worth remembering.'”
We look forward to enjoying this inspiring time together. Secure your spot and register now.
