About Connie Green

Connie Green is a professor in the department of reading education and special education at Appalachian State University. She teaches and writes about children’s literature and early childhood education. Green is the author of “The Lydia Year: Learning from Pre-kindergarten Children in Rural Appalachia” based on her experiences teaching young children in public school.
