Meg Gravil, Ph.D., teaches in the child and family studies program and is the coordinator of P-5 outdoor learning initiatives for the division of natural areas at Eastern Kentucky University. As a Kentucky Master Environmental Educator, Gravil shares her enthusiasm for nature-based learning with young children and future educators. She advocates for unstructured play and learning in early childhood programming and the incorporation of science across the curriculum. Gravil’s work examines inequities in access to natural spaces and Early Childhood Education for Sustainability (ECEfS) in teacher preparation programs.
